The Brazilian Cactus differs from the European
While its sales plummeted in early 2023, the C4 Cactus has just been restyled in Brazil, with a substantial infotainment update. If the C4 Cactus in Europe has taken on an air of sedan since the launch of phase 2 in 2018, the Brazilian version is still typed SUV. The version produced in Brazil retains the roof bars, higher ground clearance and benefits from rear windows that normally lower into the doors, but does not have hydraulic stop suspensions.
Expected on the Brazilian market by the end of 2023, the new Citroën C4 Cactus Noir is positioned as a cheaper alternative to the Shine THP variant equipped with the largest engine available on the C4 Cactus, the 1.6 THP with 173 horsepower. Under the hood of the C4 Cactus Noir, this engine delivers 166 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 239 Nm of peak torque at 1,400 rpm, when powered by petrol. If ethanol is preferred, then power rises to 173 bhp still at 6,000 rpm while torque remains unchanged. Next to the engine there is a 6-speed automatic transmission already present in the current range of the Stellantis brand.
Black is black
As its name suggests, the special Black version plays the style card and stands out with its design accents in dark tones. From the details of the Airbumps to the inserts of the fender moldings, including the rims and the mirror caps, everything is in black. Available body colors include Preto Perla Nera and Cinza Grafito.
On the interior side, Citroën will opt unsurprisingly for upholstery in dark tones in the passenger compartment. The equipment has a leather steering wheel, an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, steering wheel controls, rain sensors for the automatic wipers and front and rear electric windows with One Touch function. In addition, the car offers automatic door and tailgate locking while driving, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors and six airbags.
