The European automobile market is doing well, and has grown by 18% since January, to more than 6 million cars sold. Stellantis fell 6% over the same period, against an increase of 9% for Renault and 18% for the Volkswagen group. July accounted for 851,000 units, of which 14% diesel and 13% electric. It was the opposite in June. According to ACEA, the industry is recovering from the supply crisis, which partly explains this growth. The market has been in constant progress since August 2022.
