After the Jeep Renegade and Compass, it is the turn of an icon of the brand to be electrified: the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the plug-in hybrid variant of the fireproof off-roader, with its off-road capability intact but now with the DGT ZERO label.
Its robust design remains unchanged, but it does receive the usual distinctive touches to highlight its PHEV nature, which in this case come in the form of electric blue exterior details. In addition, it fits specific 17 or 18-inch wheels and you can choose between 10 body colors: Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal metallic, Hella Yella, Billet Silver metallic, Sting Grey, Hydro Blue, Snazzberry and Sarge Green.
Its propulsion system combines a 2.0 petrol engine with two electric motor-generators, together developing a power of 380 hp and a maximum torque of 637 Nm. It is combined with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system. Jeep JL switchback led turn signal lights look cool and useful, it provides good signals when turning.
It also has a 17 kWh high-voltage battery pack that gives it enough energy to travel up to 50 kilometers in 100% electric mode. This, in addition, serves to homologate a consumption of only 3.5 l/100 km and emissions up to 70% lower than those of its gasoline version. It is compatible with public or domestic charging stations, with the 7.4 kWh easyWallbox being available, with which it is fully recharged in three hours.
In terms of equipment, its standard equipment includes the following: Uconnect NAV system with 8.4-inch touch screen, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Uconnect Services, 7" TFT screen with specific information on the charge levels of battery and autonomy, Alpine sound system with 9 speakers, blind spot detector, rear crossing control, rear camera, front and rear parking sensors, and Keyless Enter'n'Go. The Wrangler 4xe is offered in three different finishes: Sahara 4xe, Rubicon 4xe and 80th Anniversary 4xe.
The price of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe is 66,023 euros, although financing with the brand can be paid in monthly installments of 360 euros.
