The Stellantis group benefits modestly from the progress of the market. For all brands, with the notable exception of DS, it was better before. Citroën is even in an uncomfortable position. The C3 makes nearly 50% of Chevron sales and seems more than ever alone in the storm.
As for the Renault group, Dacia remains the strong link, and exceeds 10,000 registrations over the month. The diamond is showing spectacular growth, but the figures from 5 years ago, 28,000 registrations, 18.5% market share, are still a long way off.
The Volkswagen group is tracing its progress to that of the market. Skoda has returned to its best level, and the Volkswagen brand is close to its usual market share. Toyota has returned to its pre-crisis sales level and is even progressing significantly compared to 2018 or 2019. This is even more true for Hyundai-Kia and Land Rover, while BMW is gradually approaching this situation envied by Ford. , Mercedes, Nissan or even Suzuki, despite a good August for the latter.
It is true that since 2018, Tesla or MG have entered the dance. The American brand has become a heavyweight. For its part, the MG4 does better than the stars of yesterday, C4, Mégane or Golf. Obviously, the cards are redistributed.
On the motorization side, the slight erosion of diesel engine car registrations benefits “full hybrid” models. On the petrol, electric or even LPG side, everyone retains their positions.
