Benelli enters a new segment with the TRK 502, a mid-displacement maxi-trail rival, among others, of the BMW F700 GS and F800 GS. Although it might seem like a small contradiction, it can be considered a true maxi-trail due to its dimensions, but adopting a medium-displacement engine designed above all to offer, in addition to a more adjusted price, a minimum consumption economy.

Aesthetically, it is undoubtedly reminiscent of the big trail bikes, with a certain air of 1200 GS, the result of a body design that promises high protection while driving and ample autonomy thanks to the 20-litre tank capacity. It does not reach the capacity of the great BMW R1200 GS, but its consumption must be much lower than that of the former, announcing Benelli 400 kilometers without refueling. In addition, the TRK 502 will come in two versions, a more asphalt version with 17-inch alloy wheels and road tires, and a more adventurous one, the true maxi-trail version, with 19-inch and 17-inch spoked wheels at the front and rear respectively. , roadways with studded tires.

If the concept and design are new, so is the engine, developed by the brand itself, a 500 cubic centimeter two-cylinder water-cooled engine with electronic injection, double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder that develops 48 hp at 8,500 rpm. and offers a maximum torque of 45 Nm at 4,500 rpm.
